Paul McVerry – Born in 1945 and still going strong.

After a long and varied career in rural and livestock industries in the 1960”s and 70’s Paul moved into the food and retail sector through the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s while managing to raise 5 talented boys with his wonderful wife Adrienne.

The last decade has seen Paul and Adrienne develop their unique garden art business – Tuchekoi Tubs. These handmade pieces are truly a work of art and are fashioned from recycled timber, corrugated iron and pieces of crockery from bygone eras. Their work can be seen at various garden shows and markets in SE Queensland or viewed on their website www.tuchekoi-tubs.com.

Paul continues to work with his son Simon in the operation of his ecological and forestry consulting company Native Foresters where he forms a valuable part of the forestry maintenance team. Paul is also a part of the dedicated group of individuals who are working on social and economic rejuvenation of the Mary Valley through his membership with the Friends of Kandanga group.

When not busy working on these various projects Paul can be found at home on the farm at Tuchekoi, paddling down the Mary River or being a great Pa Pa for his 10 grandchildren.
